Official Rules and Regulations
- The Kiwanis Incredible Duck Splash ("KIDS") is produced by Glendale Kiwanis Foundation, ("the Producers") a charitable organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, for the benefit of numerous non-profit organizations, primarily for the benefit of projects and programs serving children and youth.
- The 2024 Kiwanis Incredible Duck Splash will be conducted in person at Verdugo Park, Glendale.
- Chances of winning depend on the total number of qualified entries.
- All duck adoptions entered are and shall remain property of the Producers.
- A number will be randomly computer generated for each duck adopted. The person's name submitted on the adoption corresponding to the random computer selected number will be eligible to win prizes (Also see item #10 below.) Positive identification and a properly completed IRS form W-9 will be required to claim any prize(s) over $600. Prizes will be given or mailed to the winners, who will be responsible for all associated taxes.
- A copy of these complete Rules and Regulations, a list of prizes and, after the event, a list of prize winners can be obtained from the Producers by sending a written request with self-addressed stamped envelope to: Glendale Kiwanis Foundation, P.O. Box 10545, Glendale, CA 91209-3545. Otherwise, the winners will be listed on the website no later than 24 hours following the race completion.
- The entry portion of each adoption paper must be completed in its entirety and delivered to the Producers or an authorized representative of the Producers or mailed to the Producers at the address set forth in rule six (6) and actually received by the Producers by 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3rd, 2024, to be eligible to win any prizes. Entries received after 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3rd, 2024, and any entries purchased on race day are subject to the availability of ducks, and in the event the number of these entries exceeds the available number of ducks, these entrants will not be eligible to win any prizes. The Producers cannot guarantee that any entry received after these deadlines will be eligible to win any prizes. Except as otherwise provided for by the Producers, no other entrants are eligible to win any prizes. Entrants assume the risk of non-delivery of any entries to the Producers or to an authorized representative of the Producers.
- By entering, the entrants release the Producers, its officers, directors, volunteers, staff and other related entities from any and all liability with respect to the prizes.
- By entering, winners consent to the promotional use of their names and likenesses without any additional compensation.
- Due to value received by virtue of prizes being awarded, entries are not considered tax deductible by the IRS unless the winning adopter designates a qualified nonprofit on the paper adoption form or online adoption to be the prize recipient rather than the adopter.
- A minimum donation of $5 is requested. Free entries defeat the charitable fundraising purpose of this event and are not encouraged. No purchase is necessary and any person may, prior to Monday, April 22, 2024, request one free entry per person, by submitting a written request for such entry and a self-addressed stamped envelope to the mailing address listed in rule six (6).
