For more than three decades, the Center for Prevention of Abuse’s signature fundraiser, the Duck Race, has been an integral part of securing important funding for CFPA services. The Duck Race is a unique event that allows people to “adopt” a duck for $5 and enter into a race to win prizes.
It is important for you to know that all funds raised through the Duck Race stay local, support our client services, and help us build a safe and peaceful community. Getting your ducks in the race helps ensure funds for all CFPA programs, including free and confidential services for victims of human trafficking, domestic violence, sexual abuse, sexual assault, and elder abuse, as well as help fund violence prevention education to nearly 36,000 students annually. Last year, we raised more than $215,000 for survivors of abuse in our community through this event! These funds go toward fulfilling our mission of helping all people live free from violence and abuse.
