CISNT - Quacking for Kids
The mission of Communities In Schools of North Texas is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

Communities In Schools of North Texas (CISNT) is a community-based, community-supported nonprofit organization. Since 1993, CISNT has partnered with schools, community leaders, and families to ensure that every student has what they need to realize their potential in school and beyond.

Across North Texas, 1 in 2 students are at-risk of dropping out of school. Often, these students just need a helping hand or a caring adult to walk alongside them, providing support to help them improve in their academics, their behavior, and their attendance.

Working directly inside schools across Cooke, Denton, and Wise counties, we connect students to caring adults and community resources that help them overcome barriers that stand between them and a brighter future. Across our six partner school districts, CISNT serves and supports more than 6,600 students in grades K-12. CIS is recognized by the Texas Education Agency as the only dropout prevention program to both lower dropout rates and increase graduation rates.

Our school–based programs are built upon the belief that transformative relationships are the key to unlocking a student's potential. Whether it is providing a student with school supplies, matching a student with a volunteer mentor, or giving a child a safe place to learn and grow after school, CISNT does whatever it takes to keep our students in school and on the path to graduation.

These services are made possible through our incredible community, who volunteer their time, advocate, give financially, and pour out your encouragement on our students every single day. Together, we are building solid foundations and strong futures for our students! #AllInForKids!
