Welcome to the Duck Derby!
I'm Chandler McKinney, Social Media and Brand Coordinator. We are a 501c3 Non-Profit in Denton County that supports hurting, at-risk, and homeless teens. Our teens come from a wide range of backgrounds and range in age from 14 - 19 years old. We serve around 15,000 teens every year through our outreach programs, our school programs (The Dream Initiative), and our residential campus (Kyle's Place.) Our goal is to empower, equip, and embrace these young men and women to overcome adversity and live purposeful lives. We meet our teens where they are at by providing a safe place to live, new clothes, mental health counseling, medical, dental, and everyday life skills needed to become an adult.
We are thrilled to be part of the Cross Timbers Rotary Club's annual Duck Derby on September 21st at the Riverwalk in Flower Mound, TX. All proceeds help serve the community and support numerous local non-profits.
Adopt a duck or welcome a flock under your wing to show your support for the missions these non-profits are serving! Participants do not have to be present on the day of the race to win - your duck will do the racing for you!
Prizes for winning ducks include a $2,500 Visa Gift Card and many more! Just $5 is all you need to get involved. Please help us reach our team goal of 1500 duckies and support our mission at Journey to Dream!
