Note in the Pocket (NITP) is a local non-profit that provides clothing to homeless and impoverished students in Wake County with dignity and love. They package mini-wardrobes that can include up to two week's worth of clothing. Each clothing donation, which includes complete outfits and shoes, comes with a note in the pocket of the clothing that says, “You are loved.” Note in the Pocket is open for volunteers and invites you to learn more at www.noteinthepocket.org.
Since 2013, Note in the Pocket has provided clothing to over 28,000 impoverished and homeless children and families. In 2020 we were able to clothe 5,088 individuals and deliver 104,909 items of clothing, valued at over $793,000. Their goal for 2021 is to clothe 6,000 individuals.
