Founded in 1974 and incorporated as a non-profit cultural organization in 1976, the Victoria Symphony began with a small group of local musicians and gifted amateurs who performed quality symphonic music for the adult population in the Victoria area. Over the past forty-six years, it has become known for providing outstanding concerts with professional musicians and guest artists from around the world, as well as educational opportunities which foster music appreciation. The Victoria Symphony is committed to continuing this legacy by offering programs to all socioeconomic levels in an eleven county region, with special emphasis given to area youth.
The mission of the Victoria Symphony is to enrich, entertain, educate and inspire our community through symphonic concerts of the highest possible artistic quality within the framework of available resources.
