Welcome to the 618 Duck-tastic Team
The Duck Derby is the signature fundraising event that benefits Special Olympics Illinois. Our goal is to represent the St. Louis / Metro East region of Special Olympics Illinois. All donations go to Special Olympics of Illinois not just the Chicago region. The event is free for everyone! Individuals or teams can purchase ducks to adopt and have a chance to win prizes. The race winners receive prizes, and all proceeds benefit Special Olympics Illinois athletes.
Purchasing a rubber duck (or in packs) for the Special Olympics, it will help promote regional spirit, and champion the extraordinary talents of our local athletes, dancers, and cheerleaders.
Here's some information about the 2024 Chicago Ducky Derby:
- When
The festival will take place on August 7th, 2024 from 10 AM–2:30 PM on race day at 401 N Michigan Avenue.
The duck drop will take place at 1 PM from the Columbus Drive Bridge. - Do I need to live in or be present in Chicago?
NO! The winner of the car in 2023 lived in Kentucky! So your duck as just as much chance to win a prize as the rest! - How to enter
Individuals can purchase ducks to adopt, with options including single ducks, quack packs, and diamond duck packs.
