HELP US FLOAT HOPE!
On February 13th, 2023, we welcomed our first child, George Spivey Jenkins, into the world. He was a healthy 8lb 1 oz, and the most beautiful baby we had ever seen. At just 10 days old, George tragically passed away suddenly and unexpectedly due to a viral infection.
After our loss, we were connected with KinderMourn and spent the summer participating in the Empty Arms support group. We had the opportunity to meet and share our story with other infant loss parents which was an incredibly healing experience. Since then, Sarah has participated in the Subsequent Pregnancy support group which supports loss moms as they navigate another pregnancy after losing their child (George's little sister is due in early June). These services have been so meaningful to us after suffering the unnatural loss of our first child.
KinderMourn provides hope for bereaved parents, grieving children, and teens by offering support and counseling programs, creating awareness of bereavement issues, and empowering the community to effectively assist those who have suffered an unthinkable loss.
By adopting ducks, you help children, adults, and families in our community navigate the maze of loss and bereavement. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of so many.
