The loss of our daughter Bridgit in 2022 is a pain that we continue to live with every day. We will always wonder what happened to her when the doctors told us, “there’s no heartbeat:” Alison was 32 weeks pregnant. As we mentioned before, Kindermourn has been a valuable resource for us in learning to live with our grief: first with the Empty Arms group after losing Bridgit, and then with the Subsequent Pregnancy group. Close bonds with some of our dearest friends began here and we will always be grateful to Kindermourn for these relationships.
This year’s Duck Race will be a little brighter than last, as we welcomed Bridgit’s sister, Abigail, in September of 2023. We will be attending this year with Abigail to celebrate Bridgit and how much she means to us.
A donation to Kindermourn in any amount, in honor of Bridgit, means so much to us. Thank you to our friends, family, and the Kindermourn community for all your love and support.
