HELP US FLOAT HOPE with the Grateful Ducks!
A new year and a new name for our team! If you knew John, you knew he loved a good jam band, a Sierra Nevada in hand, being outside, and spending time with his family. Since losing John to complications of a rare and undiagnosed leukemia in May of 2022, we have found ourselves overwhelmed with gratitude on our humble walk with grief. The love and support of our family, friends, neighbors, and even strangers has been a testament to the beautiful community around us. We are also so fortunate to share our beloved Dilworth neighborhood with the KinderMourn house; a place that has been a safe haven for our family for the past 18 months. Townes is able to engage in necessary, age appropriate, play therapy to help process his emotions and I have been attending a very meaningful grief group weekly for widows/widowers. Y'all....this resource here in Charlotte is in need of support and I ask in gratitude for you to adopt BIG this year!!!
KinderMourn allows children and families to process and heal while offering a safe and inclusive place of hope. It is a place that catches families in a comforting home during the darkest and most challenging times of their lives.
KinderMourn provides hope for bereaved parents, grieving children and teens by offering support and counseling programs, creating awareness of bereavement issues and empowering the community to effectively assist those who have suffered an unthinkable loss.

I am so very grateful for the abundance in our life and am very determined to help raise a significant amount of money to go directly to the needs of KinderMourn. The staff does life SAVING work. The building represents more than just a "house"; it is a place for families to process the unthinkable and land in the loving arms of the most wonderful humans. So quit your quacking and adopt some ducks already!
